The Kansas Leadership Center welcomed more than 40 participants to our Emerging Public Officials training recently as part of our Leadership in Public Service initiative. 🤝 Designed for Kansans aspiring to run for office or serve in appointed positions, the program offers a unique space to tackle complex public challenges while building confidence in collaboration and trust within diverse communities. 💫 Facilitated by experienced practitioners Mitzi Johnson, Patrick Kelly, and Donna Wright, the workshop featured dynamic discussions and hands-on activities emphasizing effective public service principles. The feedback was inspiring, with participants sharing how the experience challenged their assumptions and equipped them with practical strategies for immediate application. 💡 One noted, “The real-world examples and practical tools gave me the confidence to apply what I learned immediately.” Another said, “This is the place to build bridges to get to where you want to go.” If you’re considering public office or an appointed role, we have two more sessions available: October 19 in Kansas City (apply by October 12) and October 29 online (deadline October 22). 🤓 Apply now & join us at no cost, to build your capacity for creating positive change in your community! ➡️ Apply: https://lnkd.in/gneHgNBu ➡️ More info: https://lnkd.in/gh-ZyJ8j
