    "Surprise & delight is the simplest, and often can be the most fun type of loyalty program. The customer won’t know they are receiving a bonus in their shipment or a free meal when they order online. But the surprise nature of the gift creates a stronger sentiment toward the brand, and a desire to try to be delighted again and again." We read that line and stopped in our tracks. We couldn't have said it better, Ryan Kite-Hedges — surprise and delight is Kard's bread and butter. Our transaction matching engine is purpose-built to take the onus off of consumers to activate their offers. We process millions of transactions a day and automatically link them to our customers’ in-network reward offers. As soon as a customer makes a purchase that qualifies for a reward, they get a notification in their app telling them they got X% cash back. That nice surprise not only boosts their loyalty to the brand they purchased from, it also boosts their impression of their bank. And in this market, that matters — acquiring new customers costs significantly more than keeping existing ones.
