Consider what it’s like to be a busy professional with diabetes. You might be struggling to manage your blood-sugar levels, often missing meals and exercise due to a hectic schedule. A personalized AI health coach, trained on your medical data and daily routines, could provide timely reminders to take your medication, suggest quick and healthy meal options, and encourage you to take short breaks for exercise. Top 4 challenges Digital Health Assistant startups like Kaya Tech will face: 1. Securing Funding: Because of the nature of the startup (at the intersection of healthcare and AI), I believe funding is necessary at a pre-seed stage, because there are just too many moving parts that we need to get right (all the way from product development, responsible AI, data governance, security, accuracy, etc). I think no consumer or provider would want to use this if they found out this is a fly by night startup, that isn't backed by a team, board of medical professionals, etc 2. Scaling the AI: Securing data rights, ability to transform data, building the analytics platform, and getting to a point where we can build an LLM specific to the Medical industry (something like Medpalm2 by Google) is going to be a challenge, but something that can be overcome with the right team. 3. Overcoming adoption challenges from providers: I believe almost everyone in the healthcare value chain will pose low friction to adoption because of the value they can derive from a "Super Doctor" assistant, except for the doctors themselves :) As they extract the most value currently (in terms of monetary compensation). Most of them will resist the use of such an AI assistant, because it's human nature. 4. Regulatory challenges: I believe government regulations will become tighter, again something that can be solved, but might make us rethink our strategy of directly reaching the consumers with products and solutions for their health issues.

Pretty much everyone I speak to agrees that Doctors are not providing people access to best possible solutions, they are incentivized to push drugs, if they don't, they might even come under scrutiny of Big Pharma, lose their license. Just spoke to a friend earlier who told me he had a fatty liver, but he told me the doctors are not helping him. I have many friends who are doctors, who are scared of losing their license, because patients can complain to medical board if doctors don't prescribe them what they ask for. So what do doctors do? Seems like patients and doctors both are losing. And now we have the promise of a AI Super Doctor https://kaya.tech, which can threaten doctors even more, although my vision to build a doctor assistant, but what if the assistant doesn't want to prescribe the medications of Big Pharma? Clearly, I know what I am taking on, but I am committed. I faced certain death few years ago, but I was able to rise like a phoenix, researching about health solutions online, and now I want to help millions like me out there. I am just getting started, but I am finally meeting people who believe in my mission and I am getting closer to reality of building a know it all Super Doctor, that will personalize health for people of this world.
