  • And now, a word from our CEO: Now that National Suicide Prevention Month has ended, it’s a reminder that mental health is not just a monthly focus—it’s a year-round priority for us at Kedren Health. For nearly 60 years, we’ve been dedicated to serving the mental and primary health care needs of South Los Angeles, providing vital services even before mental health wellness was part of the mainstream conversation. Suicide continues to be a leading cause of death, with communities across the country affected. Here in South Los Angeles, we’ve seen how stigma and lack of access to care can prevent individuals from seeking help. That’s why our mission at Kedren Health has always been about providing accessible, community-centered care, ensuring that no one has to face their mental health struggles alone.  Our services range from acute psychiatric care to comprehensive mental health counseling, ensuring that we address not only immediate crises but also the ongoing needs of our patients. Through our integrated model of care, we’ve been able to offer support that treats the whole person—mind and body. Everyone can play a role in suicide prevention. It starts with open conversations, checking in on loved ones, and knowing the resources available. Our organization offers support groups, 24/7 crisis intervention, and educational workshops to ensure that our community knows where to turn in times of need. If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our team is here to help, with programs designed to provide immediate support and long-term care. You can also contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline via phone call or text at 988 for free and confidential support 24/7.  As we continue our journey of serving the mental health needs of South Los Angeles, we’re reminded that every conversation, every act of support, and every life we touch matters. Together, we can prevent suicide and foster a community of wellness and hope. Gregory Polk CEO  Kedren Health
