Our “Volunteer Investment Program” is about rewarding employees who give back to the community. One way we do that is by making donations on their behalf. Every Kennebunk Savings employee who volunteers their time is eligible to direct funds to a nonprofit of their choice. This year’s totals? $11,175 was distributed to a total of 78 different nonprofits!

Volunteering is its own reward. Even still, we’re always looking for fun ways to recognize our volunteers and their incredible efforts in the community. This year, our “Rookie of the Year” award winner Nikki got to drop the puck at the Whittemore Center after our Volunteer Celebration.

We love our volunteers! We celebrated their efforts in 2024 (11,078 hours volunteered!) with a party at the Whittemore Center earlier this month. We snacked, we visited with Kenny Bear, and we gave out awards. Then we all sat down to watch the UNH vs. BC hockey game!

Today, March 7th, is National Employee Appreciation Day. We like to think that we appreciate our coworkers every day, but it was still an excuse to buy everyone cookies from Lil Chippers Cookie Co. in Kittery!
