Several of our crew members assisting Duke Energy Corporation and Tampa Electric with power restorations in Florida are on their way home today. This means our crews worked safely to get the lights back on for those impacted by Hurricane #Milton. As always, we're proud of how Kentucky Power teams answer the call go where they are needed most. #MutualAssistance #ThankALineworker

We are committed to our role as a community partner and make it a priority to collaborate with local schools where we can provide educational opportunities to help build career paths and energy awareness. Thank you to Poage Elementary in Ashland for allowing us to invest in their school during a recent visit with their 3rd and 4th graders! The students got to learn from a line crew about their jobs, trucks and tools. Louie the Lightning Bug also made an appearance to share important information on how to stay safe around electricity.

Photos from the field: Love notes from Georgia left on Kentucky Power trucks parked overnight at a hotel while on the way to the Sunshine State. A total of 216 line and forestry workers, along with fleet and safety personnel, will join the army of utility companies headed to Florida to help repair the grid and restore power to people affected by #Milton, which is expected to make landfall tonight. Our crews will be assisting Duke Energy-Florida, Florida Light & Power and TECO Energy We are proud of our crews who fearlessly head toward the unknown to help those who need them most. All our thoughts and prayers are with our crews, all those who we will work alongside, and everyone affected by this hurricane. Stay safe, everyone! 🙏❤️

Pikeville employees delivered more than just restored power this week. They delivered sandwiches and fruit to a homeless shelter in the area to help ensure those there were fed during the storm. #FeedingOurCommunities
