In a remarkable gesture of support for education and future industry professionals, Redroc Transportation has donated a 2015 T680 Kenworth truck to Tooele Technical College. The official handing over of the keys took place last month at Kenworth Sales Company in West Valley City. Last month's event was honored by the presence of several Kenworth Sales employees, including former Tooele Tech students Lupe Sanchez, Gino Zavala, and Issac Jimenez. Service Manager Dennis Knowley and Assistant Service Manager Cheyenne Pia also attended the ceremony, demonstrating their commitment to fostering industry-academia collaboration. Receiving the keys and title on behalf of Tooele Tech was instructor Gary Snow. This donation marks a significant milestone for Tooele Tech, providing students with an invaluable resource for hands-on learning and practical experience. "We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation from Redroc Transportation, and our partnership with Kenworth Sales," said Gary Snow. "The 2015 T680 Kenworth truck will be an instrumental tool in our educational programs, helping to prepare students for successful careers in the diesel tech industry." The 2015 T680 Kenworth truck, will now serve as an educational asset, enhancing the learning experience for Tooele Tech students. This contribution underscores the commitment of both Redroc Transportation and Kenworth Sales Company to the development of skilled professionals in the field. "We are deeply grateful to Kenworth Sales for their generous donation of a diesel truck to our Diesel Technician program," said Paul Hacking, President of Tooele Technical College. "This contribution is more than just equipment; it’s an investment in the future of our students and the industries they will serve. Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art vehicles like this allows our students to develop the skills they need to excel in the workforce, and Kenworth's partnership reinforces the critical connection between education and industry." The event concluded with heartfelt thanks and a shared vision of continued partnership and support for the next generation of industry leaders.
