We have a winner! Last Friday, during our design scavenger hunt, we were split into three teams to take photos of interesting architectural details around our neighborhood and collage them together into a compelling building design. After everyone voted today, we have a winner, and it is Team One! Congratulations to Caitlin, Collin, Florence, Phil, and Rachel for their striking townhome design, and for knowing their audience by including a basket full of cute puppies on the front porch! As you saw over the past week, KEPHART Week 2024 was another great one for the record books! We had a wonderful time connecting and participating in a variety of activities that celebrated our core values – nurture relationships, optimistic spirit, commitment to improvement, and center table – and the amazing people who make Kephart, KEPHART! We hope that you enjoyed KEPHART Week with us, and we’ll be sharing a series of blog posts in the coming weeks highlighting what we learned on R&D Day last Thursday. Stay tuned!    #kephartweek

Today, on our final day of KEPHART Week, we celebrated our core value of “center table.” This is a core value that is unique to KEPHART, as it’s the embodiment of the long table that is in the middle of our Denver office. This core value honors the spirit of collaboration, transparency, vulnerability and trust – things that happen when we gather around our center table. To honor this core value, our design team created a scavenger hunt where we had to look for compelling architectural details throughout our neighborhood, take photos of them, and then collage our photos into a compelling building design. We split into three teams and scoured our neighborhood to find the best design ideas. The three collages that were made will be judged and ranked by everyone on Monday, so check back to see who the winner is! In the meantime, you can see the instructions and the example we were given.

Today, on our fourth day of KEPHART Week, we leaned into our core value of “commitment to improvement,” during R&D Day. We divided into teams and spread out across the city exploring a variety of topics including accessibility, amenity design, and new technologies to help us improve our workflow. It was a fruitful and productive day and we’re looking forward to sharing more information about it with you in the coming weeks. Tomorrow will be our final day of KEPHART Week, and we’ll be dedicating time to our core value of “center table.” You’ll need to check back with us tomorrow to understand what that means!

Last night, on the second day of KEPHART Week, we celebrated our core value of “optimistic spirit,” by attending a Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. While we were optimistic that the Rockies would win, it unfortunately wasn’t meant to be. We still had an amazing time at the game together enjoying each other’s company, singing and cheering for the Rox, and of course drinking beer and eating hot dogs! The highlight of the evening was getting to watch Jack Oldham on the jumbotron when he was selected to play the Rockies version of the “shell game,” where he had to guess which ball cap had a baseball underneath it. He guessed correctly that the ball was under hat #2, so he won a free Rockies ball cap!   Today, we once again honored our core value of “nurture relationships,” by enjoying unscheduled time in the evening to connect with others at KEPHART in a way that was meaningful to us. Tomorrow, we’ll be exploring our core value of “commitment to improvement,” during R&D Day, and once again, we’ll be sharing more tomorrow!

Our second annual KEPHART Week is off to a great start! We established KEPHART week in 2023, to bring everyone together in one location, to intentionally take the time to celebrate what we all value the most about working at KEPHART – the relationships with our friends and colleagues. This important week, when we’re all gathered in Denver, is the embodiment of how our culture has evolved in the work-from-anywhere age. We will be purposely living our core values through the daily activities we have planned all week, so keep checking back to see what we’ve been up to! Yesterday, was the first day of KEPHART week and it was our afternoon of community service, which is the embodiment of our core value of “nurture relationships.” We split into teams and volunteered with Hope Communities, Volunteers of America Colorado, and the Denver Rescue Mission. For Hope Communities we pulled weeds and cleaned up the community garden at Hidden Brook Apartments, for Volunteers of America Colorado we processed and organized donations, and for the Denver Rescue Mission we served dinners during the evening meal shift. We had a wonderful time giving back to these amazing organizations that are making meaningful change in our community, and we thank them all for hosting us! Tonight, we’ll be celebrating our core value of “optimistic spirit,” and we’ll be sharing more about that tomorrow!

KEPHART is dedicated to delivering exceptional value to our clients, so when Mortenson, the developer of Revival on Platte, approached us with their groundbreaking modular construction concept for this community, we were eager to embrace the challenge. Located in Denver, Colorado’s Stadium District, this 200-unit multifamily community is a testament to the transformative potential of modular design. Utilizing prefabricated panels from BLUvera, Mortenson’s sister company, Revival on Platte, exemplifies how modular construction can be innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable. Today, we were honored to join thousands of volunteers for the Denver Meal Pack for 9/11 Day. The KEPHART team proudly packed over 500 meals that will directly support those facing food insecurity in our community. Twenty-three years ago, our nation experienced a profound tragedy that forever changed us. Yet, a remarkable spirit of unity and compassion emerged across our nation. We are humbled to continue this legacy on this National Day of Service, joining millions of Americans working to make a difference in their communities. Today's event in Denver will provide 300,000 meals to those in need, a testament to the power of collective action! #Unity #DayofService #NeverForget
