Kerrigan Advisors’ 2024 OEM Survey was recently featured in Digital Dealer Conference & Expo highlighting OEM executives' positive outlook regarding the health of the auto retail industry. Results are attributed to expectations of auto retail earnings normalizing at higher levels, new vehicle sales rebounding and new vehicle gross margins remaining above pre-pandemic levels. Kerrigan Advisors’ 2024 OEM Survey was highlighted on the cover of this week’s edition of Automotive News. The article addresses automotive executives’ perspectives on future sales, dealership profitability, the franchise system and the rollout of electric vehicles. Our second annual survey included more than 110 U.S. OEM executives with two-thirds of those respondents expecting to not meet their proposed electric vehicle sales goals and 81 percent saying the electric vehicle transition will take more time. Results are attributed to high prices, predicted increased facility requirements and the rejection of the agency model.
