Great advice for those affected by layoffs!
[Repost for a friend or family member in transition. They’ll be grateful] The many layoffs happening right now remind me of my own many years ago, a financial casualty of 9/11. I was devastated by the loss of a great job I loved and the unexpected disruption of what I viewed as a remarkable future ahead, as our company closed forever. If I had known then what I know now, I’d insist upon either taking the CliftonStrengths Assessment for the first time or to reread my CS34 Insight Report to remind myself of my talents - my natural patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. Not only does deliberately rediscovering our strengths refocus us on where within us is our greatest potential, especially in times of transition, but it’s a confidence boast to remind us, “Yes, I can do this.
