Using the Power of Collaboration to End Homelessness
About us
Keys to Change, formerly known as The Human Services Campus, opened its doors in November 2005. Our mission is "Using the Power of Collaboration to End Homelessness." Located just west of downtown Phoenix, nearly 1,000 individuals per day seek services at the Campus. As a place, 15 non-profit organizations work in collaboration on the Campus to assist each individual's unique requirements to end their homelessness. As a non-profit organization, in addition to overseeing partner collaboration and Campus operations, Keys to Change provides programs that directly serve clients. These programs include Client Intake and Assessment at the Brian Garcia Welcome Center (the "front door" to the campus), Reunification with Family, Post Office Services, Bag Storage and Navigation to Housing. Our staff creates a customized housing plan for each individual, and connects people to all of our partner services on the campus, including identification, physical, dental and mental healthcare, shelter services, meals, benefits, homeless court and employment. Over 2,000 individuals were connected to housing in the past year.

Today is Arizona's voter registration deadline. In August, the League of Women Voters visited the Campus to register clients to vote, update their registration, and educate on voting rights restoration. We encourage our clients to get involved in the voting process, which includes dispelling common myths and breaking down harmful misinformation. We want people to make their voices heard and cast a vote for the leaders and policies that make a difference in their lives. Your vote is your voice. Exercise your right to vote. Let your voice be heard. 🗳 https://lnkd.in/g-MYaJ7M #EndHomelessness #AffordableHousing #HousingFirst #RepresentationMatters #YourVoteMatters #YourVoiceMatters #ParticipateInDemocracy #Community #Vote #Vote2024

"Each summer we say, 'this must be as bad as it can get.' And every year, the heat is more extreme, and more persistent," says Keys to Change CEO, Amy Schwabenlender. "There's a real sense of urgency on the front lines because the effects can be very unhealthy. We can't let our guard down. The heat is still deadly, and affordable housing is still scarce. While community support has been incredible all summer, this may be our most critical ask." It CONTINUES to happen at STN! 📺👀 Get excited for the next episode of the McQuaid Mission on IT HAPPENS AT STN, featuring the brand new CEO of Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS), Nate Smith. 🥳 We like him already -- and not just because he can riff on a Richard Crews, Director of Programs, Keys to Change metaphor without skipping a beat! Nate is a visionary leader with the experience and passion to usher CASS into this next season, which we know will be a tough one for our entire community -- read why here: https://lnkd.in/gic--xR3 So about that metaphor… In last month’s episode, Richard Crews likened solving homelessness to a jigsaw puzzle. Now more than ever, we need to click together like pieces of a puzzle 🧩 like a lock and key 🔐 We must collaborate on solutions like we were MADE to fit together. Aligned in vision, building the same big picture. Do you want to solve homelessness, but you’re not sure where to start? Tune in next week for this episode. Spoiler alert: there’s a puzzle piece in your hand. 🥰 #EndHomelessness #Community #CommunityActionWorks #ItHappensAtSTN #WhatsYourPuzzlePiece #CollaborationIsKey🔑

Congrats to our Arizona Diamondbacks on a wonderful and hard-fought regular season! They're the real MVPs of community support - raising $200,000 for Keys to Change for our work in homeless solutions in their hometown. Talk about swinging for the fences! 💛👏👏👏👏 To celebrate, they invited us to last week's game against the Padres. When Diamondbacks play, the community wins. Cheers to a great season - we'll see you in the spring! #DBacksGiveBack #DBacks #ArizonaDiamondbacks #LosSerpientes #Community #CommunityAction #GreaterGood #EndHomelessness #Leadership

New BLOG from Keys to Change CEO, Amy Schwabenlender, is up! 💻 👀 "I’m not writing this in search of any sympathy, apology, or as a crisis fundraising tactic. I am writing this because it’s what is happening right now, on the front lines. And it’s not only happening at Keys to Change. It is happening on various timelines across organizations and across many different program and service areas...." https://lnkd.in/gic--xR3 Comment, share, brainstorm.
