KHD-HW India : First WHRS System commissioning milestone We're excited to announce that HW India has successfully commissioned its first-ever WHRS, integrating 2 AQC boilers (out of a total of 6) with a single turbine, delivering a continuous Gross Power of 4.0 Mwe. This ambitious project, awarded in May 2023, involved the supply of boilers & piping, wherein erection was expertly handled by UTCL with HWI's supervision. Overcoming the challenges of an old cement plant with difficult brownfield conditions, HWI's dedicated team delivered complex engineering solutions. This achievement marks a significant step towards our vision of Cement Beyond Carbon with WHR systems. Congratulations to the incredible teams at HWI and UTCL for making this landmark accomplishment a reality! A big thank you to Ultratech for placing your trust in us. KHD Technology at Sino-German Energy Efficiency Collaboration 🌍 We’re proud to announce that the Conch Zongyang line 4 preheater modernization project has been selected as a pilot project under the prestigious Sino-German Energy Efficiency Improvement Demonstration in Key Industries program! This initiative will leverage KHD’s state-of-the-art technology, executed in collaboration with AVIC International Beijing, Conch Group’s R&D department, and supported by China’s National Energy Conservation Center and GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation). We’re aiming on ✔️ Reducing energy consumption ✔️ Driving fuel substitution ✔️ Delivering significant carbon emission reductions The project stands out for its integration of advanced technologies from China and Germany, reinforcing our commitment to international collaboration and sustainable solutions for the cement industry. As China's third-largest industrial carbon emitter, tackling cement-based emissions is essential to meeting the nation’s dual carbon goals of peaking emissions by 2030 and achieving neutrality by 2060.
