🏳️🌈 Happy Pride Month from a few of our LGBTQIA+ Specialized Therapists! 🏳️🌈 As a trans-founded company with 31% of our therapists, board, and sphere of support roles identifying as LGBTQIA+, Pride Month is near and dear to our heart. This year, things have been uniquely challenging for our communities. The looming election, attacks on reproductive healthcare, massacres in Gaza, and ongoing crises throughout the world have made it difficult for us to ring in the spirit of celebration. Pride itself emerged from a place of struggle, born out of the courage of those who stood up against oppression and fought for equality and justice. With this in mind, we’re showing up authentically with heavy hearts and calling in our communities to support ourselves and other Queer folx with compassion, resources, and hope. We're here to support the unique mental health struggles Queer folx face along our individual journeys. Consider taking care of yourself this month by signing up for therapy with a LGBTQIA+ specialized therapist, or donate to support the expansion of our Queer & Trans pro bono program. Visit https://lnkd.in/gnxrDHTQ to get started. ❤️🧡💛 💚💙💜

Meet our new Colorado therapist, Emtethal! Emtethal Almasri (she/her) has a Master's in Social Work from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She is currently a pre-licensed social work candidate. Emtethal is passionate about helping others find resilience amidst adversity and living their lives to the fullest. Emtethal hopes to walk with people as they navigate the difficulties of being human. She approaches sessions by letting her clients lead the way, and providing a safe and emotionally open space for people to process difficult emotions such as grief, shame, and anxiety. Emtethal's own experiences in therapy inspired her to give back to others. She sees incredible value in having a sacred space to explore areas of growth and processing pain in an empowering way. Emtethal considers herself a "people-person" and enjoys getting to see her clients grow and strive for their highest potential. Emtethal specializes in working with teens and adults managing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, suicide, and/or trauma. Those who are ready to delve deep, lean into discomfort, and are willing to be honest with themselves and others. Emtethal is a first-generation Palestinian woman and is currently learning Arabic. In her free time, Emtethal enjoys crocheting, listening to new music, attending spin & yoga classes, and spending time with her partner and cats, Miko and Moose.
