About us

Core Beliefs We Build It Better We understand that innovative design must always lead to a functional product that improves lives and makes mobility easier. From agility and maneuverability to structural integrity, strength and durability. We don’t just make wheelchairs, we make wheelchairs better. Relationships are Not One-Dimensional People are connected to people who are connected to other people—and the better we understand the full support systems that our end users rely on, the better we are able to serve our customers. We value our relationships and conversations with everyone who interacts with our products, from product designers and engineers to clinicians, complex rehab technology professionals and end users. It's a Trust Thing At Ki Mobility, service is part of the product. We understand that a great product experience—for customers and the people we serve—lasts a lifetime, from product specification, fitting and adjusting to training and maintenance. Finding the Right Fit What makes a wheelchair extraordinary is how well it fits the needs and ambitions of the person using it. Our service and product lines ensure that each individual story matters. Remain within Reach We feel it is important that both our people and our products remain accessible and available to you. We strive to create a unique place in the market: offering you more than just best-in-class products. We are here to support you. To make it easier for you, the complex rehab professional, to meet the needs of your clients. Better by Design

Some might be surprised to hear that during Spina Bifida Awareness Month, I want people to look past the diagnosis and instead focus on the amazing individuals who live with it. When you search for Spina Bifida, you'll find an overwhelming amount of information. Much of it sounds frightening, daunting, and hard to process. The truth is, it can be all of that—scary, overwhelming, and daunting at times. However, that isn’t the entire story. What I really want people to understand is that Spina Bifida doesn’t define a person. It’s just one part of a much bigger picture. I want people to see beyond the label and notice the strength, joy, and remarkable traits that shine despite the challenges. The resilience and determination of someone with Spina Bifida tell a far more powerful story than any diagnosis ever could. Yes, Spina Bifida is part of our sweet girl’s story, but she is so much more than a diagnosis. First and foremost, she is Amelie. Her favorite color is pink. She’s a total mama’s girl. Nothing makes her happier than being outdoors. She can be wonderfully stubborn at times. Best of all is her heart. She feels deeply and extends a compassion to others like I've never seen before. I just wish people could see her the way I do… she really is nothing short of spectacular. Thank you for letting us share @our.exquisite.normality (via Instagram) #spinabifidaawarenessmonth

We ain’t ‘fraid of no ghost, thanks to Ian and his amazing Ghostbusters themed Halloween costume! 👻 Ian’s mom, Pamela, has been creating spoo-KI wheelchair costumes for about 7 years. Her creative process starts by sketching out Ian’s choice of outfit and drawing up a list of items to source. Costumes are generally constructed from cardboard boxes painted with acrylic paints and hot-glued together with extra items purchased from the dollar store. A combination of zip ties, pool noodles and dowels, attach the costume to the chair, ensuring there is enough space for Ian to propel himself safely. Pamela says: “Since his first Halloween with a wheelchair I have wanted him to see that his wheelchair can be anything just like him.” What spoo-KI costumes are your clients creating this Halloween? ⚠ The safety bit.. ⚠ Always craft carefully ensuring materials selected are safe for the rider. Make sure the rider is comfortable in their wheelchair and can be removed from the costume easily. The rider should be able to easily and safely propel their wheelchair. Nothing should be used that could compromise the safety, structural integrity or clinical efficacy of the wheelchair. Costumes should be lots of fun. #ki #kimobility #betterbydesign #accessiblehalloweencostumes #accessiblehalloween
