Educating Children of Injured Workers

About us

A workers’ compensation attorney from Valdosta, Georgia by the name of Robert Clyatt witnessed time and time again the heartbreak workplace injury has on a family. In 1988, along with the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Georgia Bar, he founded the first Kids’ Chance state organization and began raising money to fund educational scholarships for the children of injured workers. The organization only grew from there as more and more states joined and in 2007, the formal Kids’ Chance of America (KCOA) was formed. KCOA is here to assist and support state-level organizations throughout the United States who have this simple purpose: raise money to provide scholarships for the children of workers seriously injured or killed on the job.
