Check out AlleyCorp's annual impact report. Kudos to Tanya Beja and Youssef K for an amazing work and dig in to see some amazing organizations including, of course, Kiip!
Our Impact team is thrilled to share their second Annual Report, highlighting the impressive entrepreneurs they've invested in this year and their ambitions for 2024. With a focus on education, future of work, health equity, government services, and more, Tanya Beja and Youssef K are committed to investing in founders tackling pressing social and economic challenges. Our investments this year supported digital career pathways for low-wage workers, mental health support for K-12 students, and expanding access to lifesaving prescription drugs. Kiip launched in Los Angeles in early July with our partner HOPICS. Less than 8 weeks in we suddenly saw the enormous power of Kiip to help one vulnerable individual in ways we hadn't foreseen. Kiip launched the first week of July with HOPICS' Access & Triage programs supporting individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Since then, we've helped HOPICS serve hundreds of clients, store thousands of documents, and complete thousands of applications. This has been incredible to see. While we have built an incredible suite of tools for our enterprise customers - the community-based organizations, agencies, and service providers in these communities - our mission starts with helping at-risk, vulnerable, and marginalized individuals keep, manage, and share their personal vital documents. In August, a shelter resident at HOPICS was detained and, having had his wallet previously stolen, had no ID with him to prove he wasn't the suspect they were looking for. Facing arrest, and at risk of losing his shelter bed and being back on the streets, he remembered that his case manager had helped him store his documents in Kiip. He logged in on his phone, showed the police his ID, his social security card, and even his completed shelter intake form with the case manager's name & signature, and they released him. This is the power of universal access to your own information. You don't know when you need it but when you do, obstacles to access can have outsized consequences. Our partners at Amazon Web Services (AWS) heard about what happened in LA and are sharing that story in this blog post as a great example of what happens when innovative technology providers partner closely with the organizations and people that directly serve at-risk communities to build the actual solutions they need to improve people's lives. We couldn't be prouder of this work and are enormously thankful to everyone who works day-to-day to improve lives and solve problems in these communities. In particular, we need to call out some of the incredible leadership at HOPICS starting with Veronica Lewis, Ben K., Milagros Lugones, and the team at AWS, notably Jessie Metcalf, who have had the vision and persistence to make this happen. Given the impact we've had in just those first couple of months, we can't wait to see how many lives we can help going forward. https://lnkd.in/gAsh3DYp

Last weekend, we had the privilege of joining First Place AZ at Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center's second annual YES Day. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring awareness of the benefits of Kiip to the Arizona community. We are grateful to have been able to be a part of this event and to have learned from so many passionate individuals who are driving change in the world of Autism advocacy.
