  • Congratulations to Rob Stamper, RN, and Kyle Whisman, RN, BSN, who both have been promoted to director of Surgical Services. Stamper will be in charge of the main operating room, endoscopy, the urology procedure center and the outpatient surgery center. Whisman will be in charge of the cardiovascular operating room, pre-admission testing, and King’s Daughters Ohio's surgical department. Stamper began his career in Environmental Services, then earning operating room technician certification and his licensed practical nursing degree from Collins Career Center. He went to pursue his associate’s degree in nursing from Ashland Community and Technical College and is currently pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing at Western Governors University. Most recently, he served as senior nurse leader in Surgical Services. Whisman has been with UK King’s Daughters since 2014, joining the organization as manager of Surgical Services at King’s Daughters Ohio. Most recently, he has served as Surgical Services senior nurse leader. He earned his associate’s degree in nursing at Shawnee State University, and his bachelor of science in nursing from Ohio University. King’s Daughters is a family affair for Stamper and his family – his wife Nichole works in Epic clinical informatics, and his eldest daughter Taylor is employed in Labor and Delivery. Outside of work, Rob is an assistant coach of his youngest daughter Emma’s Eastern Elite soccer team (back-to-back state champs!) and he also has two golden retrievers. Whisman and his wife Mandy are the proud parents of two sons, Kaeden and Karter, who are very active in sports. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys coaching and volunteering with youth sports, playing golf, and traveling. Congrats, Rob and Kyle!
