Exciting news! Dr. Denise Ford, our incredible SOAR teacher at NKMS, was the keynote speaker at the Gifted Association conference in Columbia, MO. Her session, "Your Brain at Play: the Cognition of Joy," drew a huge crowd. Shoutout to fellow KSD gifted educators Carly Mansfield, Jennifer Moore, and Cindy Voller for their engaging session, "Get Excited About Overexcitabilities: Harnessing the Energy of Gifted Learners," which was also a hit. The team is gearing up for the National Association for Gifted Children conference in Seattle this November, where they’ll continue to share their insights. Austin Lane from KHS will be presenting too. We are proud to have such talented educators representing KSD at the national level!
