🌟 It's National Businesswomen’s Week! 🌟 Meet Teri Scott, ARNP, owner of Rediscovered U, PLLC! As a Kitsap native and seasoned nurse practitioner, Teri has made her mark in the medical aesthetics industry since launching her business in 2016. What’s truly inspiring? Teri’s journey began as a diesel mechanic in the U.S. Air Force, where she worked to fund her nursing education. “I always thought I’d work within a structured medical environment,” she says. “But when the opportunity arose to operate my own business, I took a leap of faith.” Today, Teri offers personalized aesthetic treatments, ensuring her clients leave feeling confident and radiant. Her growth has been organic, driven by community connections and referrals. This week, let’s celebrate the incredible women who break barriers and pave their own paths! At Kitsap Credit Union, we’re proud to support local entrepreneurs like Teri. Read her full story at https://bit.ly/48gg9Jp.

We had an amazing time at the 7th Annual Coffee & Corks hosted by The Coffee Oasis! It was a night filled with hope as we heard inspiring stories from incredible youth in our community. It was amazing to see everyone come out and support the incredible work The Coffee Oasis is doing by helping to provide safe spaces for young people in Pierce County to shelter, heal, belong, and thrive.

It’s a new month and you know what that means, new stickers! Our October Sticker of the Month features a sugar skull design created by Tom Shannon our Senior Web Designer. This design is an ode not only to the feeling intrinsic to October but also pays homage to the second half of Hispanic Heritage Month. When Tom explained how he designed this month’s sticker he said, “The sugar skull in my piece is loosely inspired by Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s "The Nightmare Before Christmas." I wanted to ensure that the Kitsap Credit Union sugar skull has a friendly and approachable look. This fun and whimsical style reflects our core values of Collaboration, Authenticity, Responsibility, and Integrity.” Wondering what a sugar skull is and where it comes from? Sugar skulls are a confection molded from sugar paste created for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations in Mexico. Sugar skulls or calaveras, are a traditional offering made on ofrendas (memorials to loved ones) since they mark the sweetness of life. Stop by your local Kitsap Credit Union branch to get your hands on these limited-edition stickers before they’re gone! Learn more about this month's design at https://lnkd.in/gDCJ7pi5. Love Tom's design? He's also an illustrator, check out more of his work on Instagram at @tomshannonillustration.
