About us
The Department of Advertising and Public Relations is a thriving program of over 400 students aspiring to build careers in advertising and PR. We have 20 full time faculty and dozens of adjunct instructors who bring industry expertise and skills into the classroom. In Advertising, we have five concentrations: Copywriting, Art Direction, Brand Strategy & Research, Account Management and Media Planning. Public relations is the strategic use of communication to build relationships between organizations and their constituents. Students majoring in Public Relations learn to assess situations and determine, create and communicate strategic messages to build beneficial relationships among all kinds of organizations—including corporate, government and nonprofit—and their various constituents. Within both PR and Advertising we are always looking towards the future of communications. We educate students to be ethical, analytical and creative leaders in a multimedia and multicultural society.

What a fabulous shout out from class client, Eric Moyal of Project Insulin, about the results of the Klein Online Marketing Challenge. Congrats to the student team and Professor Alison Ebbecke on a job well done! 👏 👏 👏
I spent a full year trying to figure out a strategy where I could maximize the usage of our Google Ads grant ($10,000 per month!). Unfortunately, I could never use more than $10 a month despite my best efforts. However, Google has a program where they partner non-profits with students and I was lucky to connect with an amazing team out of Temple University. Professor Alison Ebbecke paired me with Sophia Buchanan Aryaan Poojary Christine Cozzo and Tafari Norton who became my team. After our first meeting, I knew this team was going to come up with a great action plan. In the one month since they took over Project Insulin spent $250 on Google Ads (more than we spent in the past year combined) and got 1,500 Impressions. The campaign that worked best focused on attracting new volunteers, which explains the influx in volunteer meetings I have had this month! However, what blew me away about this team was their post-campaign report/presentation. They provided me with feedback on how to increase our SEO, continue building our Google Ads, and create a more engaging website. One day we'll spend all $10K every month but for now, we have a great foundation. So thank you again for all your help Sophia Buchanan Tafari Norton Aryaan Poojary and Christine Cozzo you all went above and beyond with this project. Best of luck to all of you as I know you are graduating and if anyone in my network is looking for an entry-level employee in brand strategy or copywriting consider these incredibly talented individuals.
