“Much admiration for the men and women that make daily sacrifices for the good of this great company and country. I really don't know how they do it. It brings me great joy to see the fruits of their labor, like the few pics I attached. A couple million milers — and I am sure they will be multi-million [milers] by the time it’s all said and done. Thank you again to all the driving associates that keep this place moving!” — Ian Paxton (Terminal Manager, Phoenix Dry Van) #DriveAppreciation #DriveKnight #KnightLife

Driver Appreciation Week | In Memoriam — “A special shoutout to Leonard A. — a man who was more than just a driver - he was a mentor, a friend, and a true inspiration. Leonard didn't just teach me the ropes of trucking — like what a tandem is and why we call a tractor a bobtail. He showed me what it means to BE a trucker and a good human. Leonard and his wife drove their personal vehicle from Arizona to Tennessee to attend my wedding, proving that our bond went far beyond work. He even sat with my parents at my reception. Leonard's passing in 2019 left a void, but his legacy as an Air Force Sergeant, husband, father, and an extraordinary driver lives on.  He embodied the heart of our drivers here at Knight. To Leonard and all the drivers who give so much of themselves to this industry, thank you. We are grateful for your friendship, mentorship, and the family you've become.”   — Ashley Doak Baes (VP, Driver Development & Training) #DriverAppreciation #DriveKnight #KnightLife

To our Knight drivers… “Thank you! Thank you for the continued sacrifices you make daily. Thank you for the split-decisions you make to ensure we keep the motoring public safe, no matter what they throw at you. Thank you for keeping the shelves stocked. Thank you for your willingness to go out of your comfort zones to ensure the load is delivered on time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, your efforts do not go unnoticed. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you!" — Linda Dominy (Director, Driver Qualification) #DriverAppreciation #DriveKnight #KnightLife

Why Do You Drive? — “I have always been fascinated by 18-wheelers. As a kid, I would always get honks from them. I joined the military out of high school; planning on that career was cut short after I was seriously injured. I finished my term and thought back to my dreams as a kid. Life took a downturn for a couple years until I found a local company, driving their 24-ft. box truck. Fell in love with the open road, and a year later, I got ahold of Knight. Sitting in a big rig for the first time was the highlight of this last year. I love seeing new places, saving up more money than I've ever made, and ultimately, this job is funding my passion for flying airplanes. I always say... ‘Do what you love for work, and you will never work a day in your life.’” - Kalvin N. #KnightNashville #DriverAppreciation #DriveKnight #KnightLife

“…Two drivers…helped me learn the ropes of trucking. They were patient with me and taught me how to be a good DM… [They] were instrumental in helping me learn hours of service and what it means to keep a driver safely moving. Over my years working in different roles in the company, I have loved the opportunity to get to know our drivers. I've become and remained friends with so many drivers over the years. I had a driver send my family dinner while we were dealing with the loss of a loved one. Another driver showed up at my house one day while I was working on the brakes of my car. He knew me well enough to realize I might need some help. He showed up totally unprompted but exactly at the right time, because I was having an issue I couldn't figure out, and he helped me out. Another driver that I have known for seven years has a habit of sending me clips of new songs he learns on the guitar, even as recently as last week. One of my favorite people on the planet is Bernie L. He was my local driver when I was a TM in Idaho. He became part of our family, even to the point where he would come over for Thanksgiving. He is someone I talk to monthly to catch up. The moral of this story is that Knight drivers are awesome, and I am so grateful for the relationships and friendships I've made over the years.” — Adam Johnson (VP, Safety) #DriverAppreciation #DriveKnight #KnightLife
