Nickel prices are rising after the US and UK effectively banned the trading of new Russian nickel supplies on the London Metal Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME Group).   The US, like many European countries since the invasion of Ukraine, is also halting Russian nickel imports.   Nations are looking elsewhere for this critical battery metal and Indonesian nickel has notoriously poor environmental credentials. With projects in #Finland and #Norway, #MET1 is working towards supplying nickel to the European market from within Europe.   #mining #criticalminerals #batterymetals #greenstocks #greeninvesting
