About us
The Knott Scholarship Funds awards scholarships to academically-talented students who wish to continue their education in a Catholic school within certain areas of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Scholarships are available at the elementary, high school, and college level to Catholic institutions. Past and present scholars are actively involved in volunteer and service work at local schools, parishes, and community organizations. Since the inception of the $100 million endowment in 1981, the Knott Scholarship Funds has funded over 1500 scholarships to students in the greater-Baltimore area. Elementary, secondary, and collegiate scholars gathered at the historic Msgr. O'Dwyer Retreat Center for a day of impactful service on Saturday, August 17th. Together, they tackled 13 projects, including building benches and picnic tables, mulching, landscaping, edging, and general property maintenance. Despite the slightly cooler weather, our teams worked diligently to make a positive impact on the retreat center. Their efforts helped to revitalize the space and create a more welcoming environment for the groups who will be visiting in the upcoming academic year.
