We are pleased to announce that Beatrice De Franceschi has joined our Design Studio Department of KNUD E. HANSEN as Interior Designer. 👋 Beatrice’s design journey began in 2010 in Murano (VE), where she gained invaluable experience in product design and decorative arts. After relocating to Dublin in 2012, she transitioned into fashion photography, working for a well-known Irish magazine. Since moving to Copenhagen in 2018, Beatrice has embraced freelancing, specializing in content creation while expanding her expertise into art direction, graphic design, and spatial design. At KNUD E. HANSEN, Beatrice will focus on interior and exterior design, developing concept layouts, mood boards, and selecting materials. She will also oversee the interior design of accommodation spaces on our vessel designs. Outside of work, Beatrice is passionate about ceramics, teaching classes, and exploring the connection between cultural heritage and art. Welcome aboard, Beatrice! ⚓

Meet our intern in the Design Studio Department, Daria Maslowska, who will be with us until December 2024. 👋 "I started working at KNUD E. HANSEN in September, and it has been a great experience so far. The multicultural environment here has made me feel included and welcomed. My professional background is in Architectural Technology and Construction Management with a focus on BIM and Revit. However, I am always eager to expand my skills and explore new areas, like learning 3ds Max – special thanks to Jesper Thrane for guiding me! Currently, I am developing a general material library that includes all the materials we have used in interior design projects so far. This library is designed to make life easier for designers when they are looking for specific materials. I am looking forward to growing and learning in the naval architecture field. Excited to see what the future holds!" #internship #maritime #interiordesign #navalarchitecture #maritimeindustry

Meet our intern in the Naval Architecture Department, Jóhann Kartni Johannessen, who will be with us until January 2025. 👋 🚢 "I first encountered KNUD E. HANSEN at a maritime fair at DTU. With a Master Mariner education and seven years of sea experience, an internship at KEH offers a unique opportunity to blend my practical onboard knowledge with the technical skills gained from studying mechanical engineering. Naval architecture has always fascinated me, and this experience will further enhance my understanding of ship construction and the maritime industry. I am fortunate to be surrounded by experienced naval architects who are eager to share their knowledge and always available to answer my questions. Additionally, I find the multicultural environment at KEH very enriching." #internship #maritime #shipdesign #navalarchitecture #maritimeindustry

We are excited to share our take on the next generation of maintenance vessels for offshore wind turbines - “Jack-up on Jack-up” Concept. This four-legged jack-up vessel features a 15 m wide working platform, which can be elevated to the height of the nacelle, thus providing a safe platform for maintenance work on the blades eliminating the need for hazardous rope access. Visit our booth B1.EG.406 at #SMM2024 to experience the VR model of this project firsthand and chat with our engineers.
