AI is transforming the real estate landscape – but not without its challenges. In a recent Commercial Observer article by Philip Russo, our co-founder Edi Demaj discusses how closed and siloed hardware systems are holding the industry back from fully embracing AI innovations. At KODE Labs, our vendor-agnostic platform has a multitude of AI applications. We leverage AI for capabilities like energy forecasting, prediction modeling, and generative AI, enabling smarter, more efficient operations across entire portfolios. However, as Edi points out, the real challenge is overcoming proprietary hardware roadblocks: “Frankly, the built world is just not ready for [AI] because of the foundational issues that exist within the space.
