Memories that last forever - between Anuga and the flood of the century 🌊 In the 100th anniversary year of Koelnmesse, we are turning our focus to those who made the success of our company possible: our employees. The development of Koelnmesse into a global player in the trade fair industry is also owed to the numerous former colleagues. To conclude our series, Christa Hilgers shares what made the trade fair business so special for her. 🤗 "There are few other jobs where you come into contact with so many different countries, nationalities and industries as in a trade fair company, " says Christa Hilgers, who looks back on 40 years at Koelnmesse. 💬 Throughout her long career, she has experienced many exciting and emotional moments. Particularly impressive for her were the openings of Anuga, where the Parade of Nations was a true highlight. Empowering apprentices — from trade fairs to the Copa América 🤩 Our apprentice Maribel Alonso Perez was able to spend a month getting to know the day-to-day work of her Koelnmesse colleagues in Colombia. She supported the team of our subsidiary Koelnmesse SAS - LAC on site with acquisition and helped with the generation of new leads. She was particularly involved in the El Gran Salón Ferretero trade fair. In Bogotá, Maribel met many familiar faces with whom she had already worked in Cologne. 😊 At the time of her visit, the South American continental championship “Copa América” was taking place. ⚽ Colombia reached the final and the atmosphere in the city was incredible — which Maribel got carried away by. 🥳 Our budding event organiser will not forget her time in Bogotá in a hurry and has returned to Cologne with many professional and personal impressions. 🙌 #koelnmesse #koelnmesseconnects #onekoelnmesse

This event, an extension of he international marketplace number one for the confectionery and snack industry, ISM Cologne, is recognised worldwide as the epicentre of sweet and snack innovation. 🍬 And that's not all: In Cologne, we also host Zukunft Personal Europe, the trade fair for Human Resource Management (10.-12.09), and GWW-TREND (24.09). Train, Empower, Unite! A few days ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming Daniela Garcia Gonzalez, Project Manager from our Brazilian subsidiary here in Cologne. 🌍 Koelnmesse Brasil is launching four top events: Anuga Select Brazil, FIT 016, gamescom latam and Pueri Expo. Daniela is responsible for gamescom latam, FIT 0/16 and Pueri Expo. During her stay, she had the opportunity to get to know our departments and areas of responsibility at Koelnmesse headquarter. Daniela was able to gain valuable insights into our work processes and exchange experiences with the various teams. 🤝 Networking with our international locations and colleagues abroad is extremely important for the success of Koelnmesse. The exchange of experience and knowledge across national borders enables us to learn from each other and continuously improve our processes. 🚀 Daniela's visit was part of the ‘Koelnmesse Campus for Outbound Directors’ programme. The pilot project is intended to promote exchange and knowledge transfer as well as networking between newly appointed directors of subsidiaries and Koelnmesse.
