📢 Korea-Tunisia Dialogue: A Night of Strategic and Cultural Exchanges! On March 19, 2025, the Korea-Tunisia Dialogue on Trade, Investment, and Culture took place. 🔹 Strategic discussions and ambitious perspectives: The event highlighted investment and cooperation opportunities, featuring keynote speeches from His Excellency Tae-Won LEE, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tunisia, Ms. Namsoon LEE, KOICA Country Director, Ms. Ikram ZAIED, KAAT President, Ms. Namia AYADI (President of TIA), Mr. Noomen FEHRI (Secretary General of CCTC), and Mr. Myoungchul JANG (General Director of KOTRA Algiers). 🔹 KAAT Knowledge Sharing: Through insights shared by former KOICA program participants, the event showcased local expertise and built bridges between Korean and Tunisian development perspectives. It is part of KAAT’s annual plan, which includes regional workshops, cultural visits, and impactful social contribution initiatives. 🎉✨ Celebrating the Completion of the Volunteers’ 8-Week Training! 🎉✨On March 13, 2025, the Closing Ceremony for the Volunteers’ Training Program was held, marking the successful completion of their 8-week adaptation period. Ms. Kim Bo-kyung and Mr. Lee Won, who arrived in Tunisia on January 23, 2025, underwent comprehensive training before starting their work at Bourguiba School, where they will support Korean language education. During this period, they participated in French and Tunisian Arabic (Derija) language courses, cultural and historical education, and received guidance from senior volunteers to ensure a smooth transition into their new roles. The evening began with a warm gathering over Iftar, providing a meaningful opportunity for cultural exchange. A key highlight of the ceremony was the final presentation, where the volunteers shared their learnings and experiences from the adaptation period. The event concluded with a certificate handover, recognizing their successful completion of French and Derija courses and symbolizing their commitment to cultural exchange and integration into Tunisian society. Arrivés en Tunisie le 23 janvier 2025, Mme Kim Bo-kyung et M. Lee Won ont suivi une formation intensive avant de rejoindre l’Institut Bourguiba des Langues Vivantes (IBLV), où ils contribueront à l'enseignement du coréen. Durant ces huit semaines, ils ont bénéficié de cours de français et d’arabe tunisien (Derija), d’une formation culturelle et historique, ainsi que d’un accompagnement par des volontaires expérimentés pour faciliter leur intégration. La soirée a débuté par un moment convivial autour de l’Iftar, offrant une belle opportunité d’échange et de partage culturel. L’un des temps forts de l’événement a été la présentation finale, au cours de laquelle les volontaires ont partagé leurs apprentissages et expériences vécues tout au long de leur formation. 📢 The Republic of Korea and Tunisia announce the successful completion of the e-governance capacity-building project through e-learning. 🇰🇷🤝🇹🇳 On February 26, 2025, KOICA, in collaboration with the Presidency of the Government of Tunisia and the National School of Administration, officially marked the closing of the project "Establishment of Enhancement E-Governance Capacity Building through Implementation of E-Learning Based on Open Learning System for Government, Civil Society, and Citizens." The ceremony took place at Mövenpick Lac Hotel, in the presence of H.E. Additionally, the Vice Dean led a campus tour, providing insights into the faculty’s infrastructure and introducing future colleagues. 📌 Sharing Experiences: Volunteer Meeting in Tunisia Last week, on February 14, 2025, the new volunteers had the privilege of meeting with senior volunteers to gain insights into their journeys of living and working in Tunisia. 💡 Madame Lee Eunsill, currently volunteering at SOS Children’s Village in Gammarth, shared her reflections on returning to Tunisia after her first volunteering experience. She spoke about the deep bond she has developed with the country, the cultural differences she has navigated in the classroom, and the challenges of adapting to a new work environment, including overcoming language barriers. 👩🍳 Madame Na Hyun-jeong, now a chef in Ariana, also shared her inspiring story. Initially arriving as a volunteer, she found herself deeply connected to Tunisia and made the bold decision to establish an Asian restaurant. She encouraged fellow volunteers, emphasizing the importance of resilience, adaptation, and seizing new opportunities. Elle a évoqué le lien profond qu’elle a tissé avec la Tunisie, les différences culturelles qu’elle a rencontrées en classe, ainsi que les défis liés à l’adaptation au travail, notamment la barrière linguistique. 👩🍳Madame Na Hyun-jeong, aujourd’hui chef à Ariana, a également raconté son parcours inspirant. D’abord arrivée comme volontaire, elle est tombée sous le charme de la Tunisie et a pris la décision audacieuse d’ouvrir un restaurant asiatique.
