🚨 New Blanket Order issued by the Canadian authorities on reg reporting 🚨 The order offers temporary exemptions from Trade Reporting Rules, aiming to reduce regulatory burdens for end-users in anticipation of upcoming Amendments. Key exemptions include: - Creation Data Reporting: Extended time for non-qualified reporting counterparties to report creation data by the second business day post-transaction (CSA jurisdictions). - Life-Cycle Event Data Reporting: Extended time for non-qualified reporting counterparties to report life-cycle events by the second business day post-event (CSA jurisdictions). - Valuation Data Reporting: Exempts non-dealer, non-clearing agency entities from reporting valuation data (CSA jurisdictions). Commodity Derivatives Reporting: Exemption for local, non-qualified counterparties reporting low-value commodity derivatives (Ontario, Manitoba, Québec). - Affiliated Entities Transactions: Exempts transactions between affiliated, non-qualified counterparties from reporting (Ontario, Manitoba). These exemptions are intended to ease compliance while awaiting full implementation of the Amendments in July 2025.
