Dedicated Kosair for Kids Advisory Council members met today, collaborating for an even greater impact on our community. They heard from two very important speakers and discussed how, together, we can continue to help more children live life to the fullest. Dr. Melissa Currie, Child Abuse Pediatrician with the Kosair for Kids Division of Pediatric Forensic Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, is a key figure in the Face It Movement to end child abuse and neglect and a longtime partner in our effort to protect children. C. Brown Allen started the Kosair Kids Financial Assistance Program when he led the Board of Directors in the 1980s. His foresight and dedication created a legacy that continues today.

Kosair for Kids and our friends from Louisville Zoo received the 2x Game Changers Distinguished Service Award. But let’s focus on the six amazing children recognized for their good deeds. They truly inspire us, and we consider ourselves fortunate to share in their special day. Thanks to YOU, more #KosairKids will receive the rehab they need. Today, we celebrated with Frazier Rehab Institute at UofL Health Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. This $500,000 Kosair for Kids grant will lead the Southwest #Louisville hospital’s pediatric rehab expansion project. Soon, Kosair Kid Onyx and many others will have innovative physical, occupational, and speech therapy equipment and technologies. We can’t wait to see how this space shapes in the coming months. #ThankYou #Philanthropy
