Urban wastewater is a significant source of water pollution when not collected and treated according to strict standards and regional regulations. Kovalus provides highly reliable and efficient filtration solutions, specifically designed for streams with high levels of suspended solids, utilizing our unique unbreakable single-header PURON® Membrane Design. Recently, we replaced two membrane trains after nearly a decade of effective filtration. Our PURON® PSH 660-12 modules create an exceptional barrier against suspended solids, bacteria, and other pathogens, ensuring safe municipal wastewater treatment in a high-traffic tourist area along the Mediterranean coast, surrounded by wildlife parks in southern Europe. Good news! Kovalus has been awarded a key expansion project for the City of Lathrop’s Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) facility. Lathrop, a rapidly growing city of 35,000 residents in California’s San Joaquin Valley, is expanding its MBR facility to meet increasing demand. Kovalus will boost the plant's capacity from 2.5 MGD (Million Gallons per Day) to 4.0 MGD by supplying three additional MBR trains equipped with 12 PURON® PULSION® single-header LE44 modules, along with pumps, blowers, controls, and CIP equipment to support the higher flow. The City of Lathrop has trusted our technology for over seven years to keep their MBR plant running efficiently, and this latest project reflects their continued confidence in our expertise and solutions. We are proud to contribute to this essential infrastructure upgrade and thank PACIFIC ADVANCED CIVIL ENGINEERING, INC (PACE) and GSE Construction Company, Inc. for all of their efforts and collaboration with this project.
