🎉 Over 9,000 referrals for over 5,000 families! 💜 Please join us in celebrating IRIS's 5th anniversary this week in Will County, Illinois! “The IRIS Network has helped Will County residents because it allows them to receive a warm hand-off to a partner organization instead of just getting the organization’s phone number. Having the IRIS Network ensures that referrals get followed up with. We know how all referrals were handled and what the outcome was." -Rebecca Anderson, All Our Kids (AOK) Early Childhood Network Coordinator, Will County Health Department 📰 https://lnkd.in/gCzRm_ds 🌱 connectwithiris.org today to connect individuals and families in your community to needed services. “We've used accelerator grants to buy updated and new supplies for the classrooms. We've also added keypads to the front door and the playground door to just add an extra layer of security. We're updating items on the playground, all sorts of fun things like that. We did all of that to increase the childcare experience and to increase slots.” -Heather Hoover, Center Director Partnering with the Kansas Children's Cabinet in support of the Child Care Capacity Accelerator and Innovation Community grant work is a joy. The community impact of these collaborative efforts is tremendous! #AllinforKansasKids #ChildCareAccelerator #ChildCare

Bureau Director of Family Health at the Kansas Department of Health & Environment; Topeka Top 20 Under 40 - Class of 2021; former Chief of COVID Operations & Infectious Disease & Healthcare Administrator.
We had a great regional roundtable here in Topeka last night full of child care providers, partners, and interested public. What an amazing opportunity for us (Kansas Department of Health and Environment) to get feedback on child care throughout the state. For topics brought up that we do not specifically oversee, we ensure those that do hear about it. We will have our Systems Improvement Team review the feedback at next month’s meeting and follow that up with our next regional roundtable in Wichita in March! Thanks to Shawnee County Health Department for hosting us! #ChildCareinKS

CPPR's Priya Vanchy Kadavasal, Ph.D., MPH shared the impact of Family First in Kansas at the Society for Social Work and Research Annual Conference recently in Seattle. First, presenting a survival analysis demonstrating the impact of the Kansas prevention service array, highlighting that 90% of families receiving any Department for Children and Families supported prevention program (Family First, Family Preservation, Family Services) stay together safely in the home without the need for foster care one year after referral. Additionally, Priya partnered with colleagues at the Kansas Family Advisory Network and KU School of Social Welfare to present the process and power of community-led data collection in accessing family voice to drive systems change and better service access. 🔵 https://lnkd.in/gamrJ7BR #SSWR2025
