Call for research collaboration 📢: KUDO is on the lookout for academic partners to contribute to our R&D efforts to create support tools for professional language interpreters. If you are working on a project and need a professional technology provider in RSI/AI - or if you have research questions that you want to have tested on a real #RSI platform - we want to hear from you. Please get in touch via research@kudo.ai
We believe AI can break down language barriers and allow users to access multilingual content at scale. We do also firmly believe that AI can be an empowerment tool in the hands of professionals. To foster research in this area, KUDO is seeking academic partners to advance knowledge in real-time support tools for professional interpreters, specifically in the context of Remote Simultaneous Interpreting (RSI). We are actively working on the integration of a #Virtual #BoothMate in our web conferencing platform for production deployment, and we’re excited to invite the community to engage in applied research on this technology. If you are working on a project and need a professional technology provider in RSI/AI to make your project more data and real-life driven, we might be interested in establishing some form of informal and dynamic collaboration. Collaborations are flexible and can take many forms: from fully independent research from your side utilizing our platform in experimental settings (we simply provide you our tools) to collaborative studies with our team (mainly me and my colleague Isabelle) involving real-world data collection, experiments, etc. Research opportunities span various topics, including UI/UX design for supportive applications and cognitive load in the demanding task of simultaneous remote interpreting. You might have your #research questions that you want to test on a real-life platform. Joint research projects should lead, whenever possible, to co-authored publications. Due to the fast-paced nature of this field, we aim to consider at projects that can be completed within a 3-12 month time frame. If you are working on a project and you think we might be a good fit for your research, contact us at research@kudo.ai.
