It’s an honor to share a by-line in the The New York Times with LinkedIn's Aneesh Raman. Together we tackle questions that have consumed many of us—how will #artificialintelligence shape the future of work and what role will our uniquely human #skills play especially as A.I. impacts the very technical skills we’ve placed a premium on?    As we explain in the Op-Ed, we have tremendous hope. “Ultimately, for our society, this all comes down to whether we believe in the potential of humans with as much conviction as we believe in the potential of A.I. If we do, it is entirely possible to build a world of work that is not only more human but also is a place where all people are valued for all the skills they have, enabling us to deliver new levels of human achievement across so many areas that affect all of our lives, from healthcare to transportation to education.”    As I have always believed, our education systems must keep a close pulse on the evolving labor market and reflect these kinds of shifts to truly prepare young people for the working world. Employers too must become educators, in this case not just on A.I. but the kind of people skills that AI will elevate. And all of us across the education and workforce ecosystems need to work together, with learners and workers at the forefront, to ensure that all our voices are heard – and no one is left behind – as our world transforms to seize the opportunities AI is creating.     A major thank you to the New York Times, and to Aneesh and our LinkedIn partners for this collaboration.
