This week, we completed two days of hands-on training at our DFW shop with Laszlo Szabo from Zimmerman Industries, Inc., focusing on our new Zim-Mixer (volumetric mixer). We're proud to be one of the few companies in Texas using the Zim-Mixer for bridge overlays! Day 1 covered the entire operation of the Zim-Mixer. Our mechanics and operators learned how to operate, calibrate, and maintain the machine, including both preventative and general maintenance. Day 2 featured a live demo pour with our bridge crews, project management teams from the Dallas SH 345 and IH 45 jobs, and expert trainers from Kwik Bond Polymers, LLC. We watched the Zim-Mixer in action, working seamlessly with our shotblaster machine, resin spray system, and truss screed to achieve a flawless pour. A big thank you to Laszlo Szabo, the Kwik Bond trainers, and everyone involved for making this training a success.
