Brand Journalists using Inbound, Outbound and Nearbound tactics for lead generation.
About us
At KWSM, we use brand journalism to position our clients as market leaders, so they get in front of a wider audience, build warmer connections, and convert more leads. We’re not vendors, we’re business partners. We’re a hybrid of an agency and a consultancy, working to build a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses and helping them achieve operational goals. The company was born out of journalism, not tech. We believe that for effective lead generation, messaging and positioning is paramount – but few digital agencies focus on it. As brand journalists, we understand how to look at the big picture and create a holistic marketing strategy that incorporates Inbound, Outbound and Nearbound tactics. We’ve been doing this a long time, and the days of relying on a single tactic to produce results are over. That’s why we’ve built an in-house team of professionals who knows how to collaborate across disciplines. What Makes Us Different: • Holistic Marketing Approach • Brand Journalism Mindset • In-House Team • Strategy First, Tactics Second

Effective content marketing relies on strong SEO knowledge, and from the top down, our team prioritizes continuous learning. VP of Strategy Jeffrey Soto shares insights on 'content clustering' from this week's Ahrefs #AhrefsEvolve event.
FOMO over SEO? Halfway across the globe, the Ahrefs #AhrefsEvolve SEO event took place in Singapore this week. As a complete junkie and mad scientist for SEO tactics and strategies, I've followed along live overnight (SoCal time). I'm incredibly grateful to the SEO community at the event for sharing one another's findings and insights, mainly through X. There are a lot of approaches to SEO, whether that's on-page, off-page, backlink strategies, or technical SEO. KWSM: a digital marketing agency strays from shiny metrics and high-volume keywords that position you on page 18. Instead, we aim for high-intent, low-volume keyphrases and #clustering them together to attract middle to bottom-funnel people in the buying phase. We do this to help with rankings, but also to help our clients' brand credibility and to position them as thought leaders. Today, Andy Chadwick of Snippet Digital and Keyword Insights pointed out the value of high-intent clustered SEO. Insight #1: Zero click terms. Keyword Insights scraping demonstrates how clusters of very similar long-tail keywords on Reddit actually show that there's great volume in deeper topics. Image #1 credit: Lily Ray, VP of SEO strategy and research Amsive via X. Obviously, if you are creating content for these clusters with an EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trust) and YMYL (Your Money, Your Life) approach, Google will value this content more because it serves an audience seeking a definitive answer. Insight #2: Andy shared the power of clustering including a $50M cluster case study that included moving valuable keywords from page 2 rankings to page 1, looking at keywords cannibalizing each other and content gaps in your own content and competitors. Image #2,3,4 credit: Parth Suba, SEO, via X. SEO work is a continued process of analysis, refinement, and creation.

In today’s crowded online environment, a single tactic isn’t going to achieve results. You need a holistic, comprehensive lead generation strategy. It’s time to understand the power of inbound, outbound, and nearbound marketing. Inbound attracts customers, outbound reaches out to them, and nearbound leverages the trust they’ve built with existing partners.

Watch as VP of Strategy Jeffrey Soto shares why brands need to stop talking “at” their audience and start listening “to” them. By understanding your customers' pain points, you can build a stronger connection and become the hero they've been waiting for.
