The first day at #AUSA2024 brought us engaging conversations about the future of the U.S. Army and how space-based capabilities play a big role in modernizing and transforming the force. General (Ret.) Robert Brown opened yesterday’s ceremony by stating, ““Continuous transformation means the Army is adaptable and flexible.” Join our team at booth 3055, halls ABC, as we talk about how Kymeta has been empowering warfighters with the tools they need to ensure mobile and more survivable formations.

Today marks the 31st year of officially honoring & recognizing the incredible contributions that Native Americans/Native Groups have made to the world, to our country, and celebrating their rich culture. The recognition of this day started as a movement in protest of Columbus Day, the federal holiday that honors Christopher Columbus. Native Groups make up a US population of about 8.5M, and Indigenous People’s Day is about acknowledging the past of violence, displacement and assimilation that took place amongst much of the population. It’s also about honoring, safeguarding, and celebrating America’s first inhabitants that continue to thrive today. At Kymeta, we asked our teams what does this day mean to you. Melisah Burke, our Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, shares her thoughts. "This day of recognition is important to me as a descendant of the Little Shell Chippewa Tribe of Montana. I fondly remember the stories my great grandmother would tell me when I was a little girl and the beautiful Native art, she gifted me that I cherish very much today. I was blessed to be part of the passing down of cultural elements and historical narratives from one generation to the next that the Indigenous communities work so hard to preserve."
