Today, we are at Doel in Belgium to protest the closure of their nuclear power plant. Yesterday one unit was shut down, the other is planned to follow at the end of the year. Knowing that nuclear power can provide abundant, cheap and reliable energy, it is a shame to see countries, already struggling with their energy supply, shut down such an important source of energy.

Luxembourg used to be strongly anti-nuclear; however, people are now slowly opening their minds. If the entire population were fully informed about the reality of nuclear power, far more than 52% would support it.

Nuclear energy can be applied to anything! We may not have the technology yet, but nuclear-powered planes have already been studied!

Let's explore pebble bed reactors, capable of operating at very high temperatures!

Nuclear power plants can produce a lot of energy on a small footprint. Today, let's take a look at the biggest one in the world.

On October 26, 2024, the very first pro-nuclear event was held in Luxembourg City by the group Lëtz-Atom. We warmly thank the members of the public for their interest in the initiative, as well as our colleagues for their help and support.

For our 30th post, we are excited to officially announce that Lëtz Atom will host an event on October 26, 2024, in Luxembourg City. Join us at Place Guillaume II between 10:00 and 13:00. We look forward to seeing you there!

It is truly regrettable that we are like this; hopefully one day our position toward nuclear power will change.
