About us
Welcome to the Official LinkedIn of the Laconia Police Department. The Laconia Police Department is a professional organization that prides itself in delivering the highest level of service possible. The Laconia Police Department is a progressive, community-oriented agency with over 50 employees. Many people refer to community-oriented policing as a strategy or tactic. We believe community policing is much more than that - it's a total philosophy. We are committed to adopting a problem-solving model of policing in which we address the root cause of problems rather than implementing only a quick fix. Members of the Department are encouraged to try new and otherwise non-traditional policing methods in working with the community and other government agencies. The Laconia Police Department is staffed by an exceptional group of hard-working men and women. It is an honor for me to work with such a professional and dedicated staff.

Yesterday, we took part in the national celebration for "Red Ribbon" week, an important anti-drug awareness campaign that happens annually. ❣️ We were incredibly privileged and honored to partner once again with our NHNG Counterdrug Program, which has supported all our NH schools and communities in raising awareness about drug-related issues, providing help, and sharing valuable resources. Their commitment to promoting Red Ribbon Week and a healthy, drug-free lifestyle is truly commendable. The NHNG Counterdrug Program was set to conduct a low orbit flight over both the Laconia Christian Academy and Laconia High School athletic fields yesterday, where students were ready to form a human "Red Ribbon" in their red shirts. The plan was to capture photos of this inspiring formation while bringing awareness to the program but unfortunately, the weather had other plans, with low clouds and fog preventing the flight for safety reasons. However, the Laconia Police Department stepped in to assist, capturing the event using one of their tactical drones. #LaconiaPD #laconianh #redribbonweek2024 #redribbonweek #teamwork
