We are thrilled to announce our first home sale to one of our tenants, Jasmine! She is an incredible person, and we congratulate her on this major accomplishment. We also want to recognize some of the people and organizations who helped along the way including NeighborWorks Toledo Region FOC coach Meg, Huntington National Bank loan officer Julia Dudley Lee, and Louisville Title Agency for a smooth closing. Lastly, a special thanks to BlueHub Capital whose debt financing solutions allow us to purchase and renovate homes to provide an alternative pathway to homeownership.

LadderUp Housing is closing the wealth gap by removing barriers to home ownership for working class people.
About us
LadderUp Housing provides a pathway to homeownership for the working class. We purchase and renovate homes, rent those homes to workers while they build their credit score working with a non-profit financial coaching partner, then sell the home to the worker when they are able to attain traditional mortgage financing.

LadderUp Housing is working to create an alternative path to homeownership for people in the Midwest. Based in Ohio, the company purchases and renovates single-family homes in midsize cities, rents these homes to low and moderate income people, then connects residents to financial resources, preparing them to eventually purchase the home. When they’re ready, prospective homeowners can purchase their home for at or under the initial appraisal value. To date, LadderUp has purchased and rented 29 homes, with three renters currently in the purchasing process. Join us in welcoming Tom Voutsos and Greg Voutsos of LadderUp to the Housing Venture Lab!

LadderUp Housing is excited to announce that we have been selected to join Terner Labs’ 2024 Housing Venture Lab Cohort! There is a bottleneck preventing capital from flowing to low to moderate income communities in mid-sized Midwest cities. We look forward to exploring alternative financing strategies in relation to smaller dollar homes. The wraparound support we’ll receive from the Housing Venture Lab will help us accelerate our scale and increase our impact on the housing industry. Follow our journey alongside the other five members of the 2024 cohort by following Terner Labs
