Great Beer, Better World: every beer you drink puts dollars into organizations that work with women & girls in CO!
About us
Lady Justice Brewing Company is co-founded by Kate Power, Betsy Lay and Jen Cuesta. We are three women who share two crucial connections. First, we share a commitment to social justice work and being a positive force in our communities. Second, we love good beer. Lady Justice Brewing Company brews and sells beer. All profits over cost will be donated, through a grant-making process, to Colorado-based community organizations that promote the status and opportunity of women and girls. One week from today, members of the Lady Justice Brewing team who attended the 2023 #CraftBrewersConference will be headed to the Brewers Association headquarters to meet with their team regarding the issues we presented (see links below for reference). We are looking forward to discussing what precautions have been taken for safety and inclusion for the 2024 conference as well as what steps of accountability the BA has taken to ensure these same mistakes don’t happen ever again. Our team will not be in attendance for this year’s CBC but hope that those who do attend do not experience the harm we and those close to us did last year. We look forward to sharing out our notes and discussion afterward. Here’s to lasting change in an industry that desperately needs it 🍻 First letter: https://lnkd.in/gXs28twy Second letter: https://lnkd.in/gdGhaijP

Let’s Go, Beer Nerds. Lady Justice Brewing launched in 2016 as a membership-only brewery, offering exclusive beer and experiences, all while giving back to our community. A lot of things have changed since then, but one thing we’ve insisted stays the same is that 100% of profits over cost from the sales of our memberships will be donated to nonprofits that support and empower women, girls, and non-binary people. We’ve donated over $50,000 to date, all thanks to our customers who are dedicated to great beer for a better world. Join us for a membership that you can purchase at a quarterly rate or annually at a discount, all supporting #GreatBeerBetterWorld and giving you a top request - to learn more about beer! The 2024 Community-Supported Beer Membership consists of… QUARTERLY CLASSES AND PERKS: Let’s learn about beer - it's history, how it's made, how to taste it, and more! Betsy will be teaching quarterly classes that highlight a different beer ingredient each class: Water, Malt, Hops, and Yeast. And you'll get a membership perk with each class. Q1 - Water. Perk = Membership exclusive hat. Nonprofit partner: You Be You Early Learning. Class date: Saturday, February 24, 10:30 am Q2 - Malt. Perk = American Homebrewers Association® Membership. Class date: Saturday, May 18, 10:30 am Q3 - Hops. Perk = Tote made from recycled grain bags. Class date: Saturday, August 17, 10:30 am Q4 - Yeast. Perk = Coffee tumbler. Class date: Saturday, November 9, 10:30 am Ready to sign up? Visit https://lnkd.in/gDraSMWX to secure your membership. These sell out fast - grab yours now! (Note: Q2-Q4 nonprofit partners announced soon!)

We are SO pleased to announce another medal for our Chosen Family ESB! This is bronze for the Strong Bitter category in the Denver International Beer Competition- a world-renowned beer competition! This is our second medal from the Denver International Beer Competition (we also received silver for La Maestra margarita gose, one of Aimee’s favorite recipes). This is an absolute honor and we are always so excited to have ESB featured! If you haven’t tried our ESB, we’d love for you to come down and enjoy it. Sometimes, folks who haven’t had it before hear “extra special bitter” and panic - “bitter?! I don’t like IPAs!” This is NOT an IPA! ESBs are English-style pale ales, known for their balance between malt and hops. The bittering hops exist, but the caramel and biscuit notes from the malt is what makes this beer really shine. (We’d say with two medals under its belt, it’s *pretty shiny*) Congrats to Betsy and Meg for their work on brewing this delicious beer for everyone to drink! Plus, we’ve got a barrel-aged version on tap right now, too! Come try them back to back and become a beer expert, comparing flavor notes and having the best time drinking great beer for a better world!

Aimee Soete was our first employee at Lady Justice and one of our best friends. She saw the fun in beer and the magic it could make for others and we were so honored to have had the chance to know and love her. As we approach the one year anniversary of her passing from brain cancer, our team asked what we could do for one of two fundraisers we’ll hold for the Aimee Soete Memorial Scholarship in Performing Arts at St. Louis Community College. With Aimee’s silly spirit and love of a good, clean beer, we’ve created the First Annual Lady Justice Brewing 3.6km Brewery Corridor Fast or Slow Trot for Ski Jorts and Cancer Awareness. We hope you’ll join us and celebrate the life of Aimee, the love of community and good beer, and the joy of laughter on November 19.
