Whether you’re walking for a good cause, running for a good time, or just enjoying the spookiest month of the year, there are plenty of ways to ways to savor the season within your community. October 19 | The 8th Annual F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Buddy Walk at Carrollwood Village Park Come walk to help raise money for Down syndrome awareness and support. October 25 | Habitat for Humanity Rock the Block in Farmington Hills Help trim, mow, clean up, and brighten the community, together. October 26 | 8th Annual Riverwalk Trick or Treat at Water Works Park in Tampa Bring your kids, pets, and costumes for an evening of Halloween fun along the river. October 26 | Alger Heights Halloween 5k Come run, jog, walk, or stroll through the peak fall colors. Costumes are encouraged!

Join us in supporting recovery efforts from the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene. Your contribution will help the Red Cross bolster their relief efforts and continue assisting those in need. Our Hutt Scholarship competition is back, and we’re excited to once again award 20 $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors who submit essays on our chosen topic! This year’s prompt is, “What sort of legacy do you want to leave, and how will you live your life to make that legacy a reality?” Essays will be accepted now through January 8, 2025. Today we celebrate our Mary-est community partner: Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital! Mary Free Bed recently broke ground on the Joan Secchia Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital, Michigan’s first standalone rehab hospital for infants, children, and teens. LMCU is proud to contribute to the creation of this groundbreaking facility and congratulates Mary Free Bed on this remarkable achievement!
