The Lakeshore Lakers and Sharks started their seasons off with a bang at the 2024 Clemson Classic! The Lakers brought home the championship with Ja’Karius Kemp and Jackson Horne being named to Varsity All-Tournament team. In the Prep division, the Sharks fought hard against the Jr. Hawks, finishing in 2nd place. What a start to the season!

The Lakeshore Lakers & Sharks wheelchair basketball teams kicked off their season today at The 2024 Clemson Classic. Both teams had a great day with the Lakers going 3-0 while the Sharks finished 2-1. Each team will compete in their championship game tomorrow! Let’s go Lakeshore!

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month(NDEAM). This is a month for celebrating workers with disabilities and the value they add to workplaces. NDEAM’s purpose is for workplaces to commit to making sure disabled workers have access to good jobs, every month of every year. That’s the idea behind this year’s theme: “Access to Good Jobs for All.” NACDD’s Disability Inclusion Network for Tobacco Control and Cancer Prevention believes that to have ‘good jobs for all’ we need to have healthy workplaces for all.
