Architectural Lighting Design
About us
Lam Partners provides lighting consulting for architecture and urban design. We combine the experience and professionalism nurtured over the 50-year history of our firm with the creativity, flexibility, and responsiveness demanded by today’s projects. Lam Partners staff members have professional degrees and knowledge of lighting design, architecture, engineering, and industrial design, and include Registered Architects, Professional Engineers, and LEED Accredited Professionals. Our multi-disciplinary professional staff is large enough to serve projects of virtually any size, and gives us the project management, design, and production resources necessary to serve project needs efficiently – and to meet deadlines. We believe that effective lighting design begins with an understanding of architectural and urban design principles, and of the design and construction process itself. Our approach is founded on our ability to understand our client’s design intention, and to use lighting skillfully to realize that vision. With special expertise in energy efficient lighting, Lam Partners is well qualified to develop environmentally responsible designs and participate in a truly integrated design process. We have designed the lighting for numerous LEED certified projects, including several with LEED Gold or Platinum certification. We practice both locally and internationally, with projects throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Congratulations Glenn Heinmiller FIALD, CLD, LC, LEED AP!
Glenn Heinmiller FIALD, CLD, LC, LEED AP is a Principal and Partner at the architectural lighting design firm Lam Partners , where he has designed the lighting for a diverse range of academic, commercial, institutional, and civic projects. But he didn’t start out in architectural lighting. His first job out of college was doing exactly the kind of work that Brighter Boston interns do today - lighting for theater and events! 💡 Due to his own experience as a young adult right out of school, he understands the immense value of on-the-job training. He only wishes he’d had the mentoring and support that Brighter Boston provides! 🌟 Glenn is so happy to be a longtime supporter of Brighter Boston, both financially and by encouraging talented members of the Lam Partners team to contribute their brilliance and time to Brighter Boston’s mission - with a hands-on career exploration event each year!💫 Join us in celebrating Glenn’s impact at our annual fundraiser on March 31st!! https://lnkd.in/em-jqbjA

One of our favorite projects of all time - the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts.
"It was on a restaurant napkin that architect Moshe Safdie designed the first sketch that would later become the famous rippled, shelled exterior, which continues to adorn countless T-shirts and postcards," writes Joseph Hernandez of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts for the The Kansas City Star.
