Please join us in welcoming Tyler Arends to the LRE team! After working for several years as a high school teacher and coach, he's excited to return to the engineering world. Tyler obtained his civil engineering degree from Michigan Technological University where he specialized in transportation. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, hiking and spending time outdoors.

We take pride in being deeply rooted across Michigan's communities. That's why we're excited to share that our MDOT prequalifications continue to grow! With these additional Construction prequalifications, we'll be able to further contribute to the growth and development of our great state.

Summer means two things — construction and interns. We’re grateful to have projects underway and the best of the best spending their summer with us! Ben is studying environmental engineering at Michigan State University. He plans to work in stream restoration and was drawn to LRE because of our robust water resources team. When he’s not learning, he’s exploring creeks and rivers fly fishing for trout or out golfing. Noah is studying civil engineering at the University of Michigan. He’s pursuing this field because of his love for the outdoors and desire to make a positive impact in his community. Outside of work, Noah loves to hunt and fish and all things sports related.   Jonas is studying civil engineering at Calvin University. Over the summer he hopes to gain a broader understanding of the work we do across various services. Jonas enjoys skiing, traveling and hanging out with friends in his free time.

Construction season is here! We're pleased to share the latest footage from the single-lane roundabout at the Blue Star Highway and Old Allegan Road intersection for the Allegan County Road Commission. We designed vertical profile improvements for all legs of the roundabout, concrete splitter islands and central island, curb and gutter, storm sewer improvements, pathway and ADA crossings, 800 linear feet of water main replacements as well as permanent pavement markings and signing.
