Our work is nearing completion at the William Austen Marine Education and Seamanship Center we designed for State University of New York Maritime College. This new 2 ½-story academic building will sit at the entrance to the East River pier on the Bronx campus. The all-electric, mass timber, sustainable facility will feature a state-of-the-art wet science lab with a flow-through tank system for real-time river water experimentation. The second floor will serve the Marine Transportation Department. As a third-generation firm, our approach begins with listening, and understanding each organization’s mission and needs in order to deliver tailored design solutions that support their long-term success. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our work in progress.
