🚨 Update & Assistance Request 🚨 LandWerks Contracting Crew in Weaverville NC helped a local farmer demo his barn that the water destroyed and removed what hay that could be salvaged for his cattle that survived the storm. Also roughed out a temporary roadway & driveway access for the house(s) that still has the bridge standing. There are several donation hubs set up in the area - many essentials are being provided & distributed. * The Crew, after speaking with most have decided that the best way to help is to assist with funds for home repairs & replacement home furnishings. * GIFT CARDS to places like Walmart, Lowe’s & Home Depot would be the best gift to many of the residents. * If you feel lead to donate Walmart, Lowe’s & Home Depot Cards - You can do so by dropping them off at our office Monday 10/7 - Wednesday 10/9 from 7am-4pm. * A LandWerks staff will be leaving Thursday morning to deliver any donations.

1st full work day in Weaverville NC. Helping residents gain access to their homes. Removing multiple feet of the mountain side from yards, relocating dirt to areas in order to fabricate dirt roads for temporary transportation needs, the list goes on. It’s truly a “where do we start” kind of situation. However… You just start. Our crew have been so blessed by the the people in this area. LANDWERKS CONTRACTING, INC. prayed & left this morning with supply donations from Southside Baptist Church of Suffolk Va, friends, family & community - Crew are headed to Weaverville & Asheville NC. LWC Crew will be working over the next week (or so) to clear roads, repair roads, debris cleanup & assist with any other needs. #disasterrelief #contractor #suffolkva

At LandWerks we provide water coolers for hydrating employees on all job sites, we encourage employees to have healthy lifestyle habits (good diet, rest, good night sleep, etc.) Communication is key to all safety topics, especially heat safety and we encourage employees to communicate their concerns & address those as needed.
