How do you assess whether your learners are able to use their new language in unrehearsed, interpersonal contexts? If you’re using the #AAPPL, you are assessing interpersonal speaking as opposed to presentational speaking. 1️⃣ The Interpersonal Listening & Speaking (ILS) component of the AAPPL tests learners’ ability to have real-world conversations. 2️⃣ Learners engage with a video chat partner, answering and asking questions, explaining, describing, and narrating. 3️⃣ The ILS component includes multiple prompts, giving learners ample opportunities to demonstrate their proficiency.   Read this post on tips for success on the ILS mode of the AAPPL. https://ow.ly/XyPT50S2Qvi #langchat #ACTFLAssessments #speaking #proficiency
