Meet our Elementary and Middle School Spanish Language Program Coordinator, Daniela Barrena. Daniela shares her story on how she came to San Francisco and La Scuola, and explains the Spanish Language program at the school and how it integrates so well into the language curriculum. In addition to Italian language immersion starting in PreK, the Spanish language is taught beginning in Grade 4. Tuesday evening our local San Francisco Giants baseball team celebrated Italian Heritage Night, and welcomed our Ambassador Ensemble group to the field to play a Tarantella by Raffaele Calace before the start of the game. This enchanting and heart warming video is of our Silicon Valley campus Kindergarteners performing an abridged version of the Swan Lake ballet to our San Francisco students and faculty during our World Cultural Day of Diversity of Dance. The students did an amazing job learning the piece, and wow'ed our community, which you will hear by their applause and cheers in the background. Many thanks to our Silicon Valley parent, Heba F, for participating in dance classes to our students, and getting them ready to perform on stage.
