Thank you Hugo Zavala from Zavala Corporation for sponsoring a table at Centro’s #MujeresQueMandan event. The LBA ladies and guests enjoyed listening to the keynote, Julissa Prado’s success story (the founder and CEO of Rizos Curls) and, the local panel including LatinoBuilt’s founder, Rosa Martinez. Super inspiring and fun!

Congratulations Dulce Perkins for being featured by Latino Business Advisory Council! She is an inspiring, valued, and important part of the LatinoBuilt team, and we are excited to see what she will continue to do in the future!
Celebrating Dulce Perkins: A Dreamer, Advocate, and Leader at LatinoBuilt For Hispanic Heritage Month, we proudly highlight the inspiring journey of Dulce Perkins, who has dedicated her life to advocating for those who often don’t have a voice. As one of LatinoBuilt’s trailblazing team members, Dulce shares her passion, heart, and commitment to helping others turn their dreams into reality. Dulce’s story begins when she came to the United States as a baby, growing up in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley. As one of seven siblings, she learned the value of hard work early, taking on responsibilities to help support her family. Despite these challenges, Dulce stayed focused on her education and found joy in running and extracurricular activities like the 500-mile running team. Her dedication to sports and her studies opened doors for her to attend college, leading her to a career in healthcare. From Southern to Northern California, she made an impact wherever she went. After meeting her husband, Dulce moved to Oregon. While searching for a new professional direction, she applied to work at LatinoBuilt, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering the Latino construction community. Five years later, Dulce remains one of the original members of the team, helping the organization grow through its many challenges, including the difficulties brought on by COVID-19. Her efforts have been instrumental in launching Built University, which provides vital trade education to LatinoBuilt members. Balancing work and family is central to Dulce’s life. When she’s not advocating for others at LatinoBuilt, you can find her spending quality time with her family, hiking, or practicing meditation. Her story reminds us of the importance of resilience, dedication, and the power of dreaming big. Dulce’s journey is an inspiration to all, showing that with hard work, passion, and community, anything is possible. Gracias Dulce!
