"If there is no struggle, there is no growth." I remember those nights in 2014 and 2015 when I didn't have enough money for food and I'd go to bed hungry just to wake up in the morning still starving for a meal. I remember going on my lunch break at my dead end job and having to scrap together loose change to see what I could afford. I remember me and my Mother, scrimping, saving and scratching our way, feeling hopeless that we would never make it out of this condition. I remember being at my lowest point in life - alone and afraid. If I could talk to that Gabriel I would say, "Mijo, don't cry." I would say "It's going to be okay. You're going to be alright." "Don't be so hard on yourself, don't beat yourself up. Stop feeling so guilty and ashamed." "We all make mistakes. But you are not a failure. You are not being condemned for the mistakes you made." "Keep going. There is a purpose you have been called for and all your pain, suffering and heartbreak will not be in vain." I would tell him that you have so many people rooting for you. So many people that see the work you're doing and that are so proud of you. So many people cheering you on and hoping that you continue being a breath of fresh air in a world filled with so much pollution. I would tell him "Stay patient mijo and never forget from whence you came and always be appreciative." "You have no idea what the future might hold." I come from the Eastside of Orlando where so few have made it out of. I've seen so many of our youth, who look EXACTLY like me, be cut down by this evil and unjust system and be robbed of the life they should have had. I am one of the lucky ones and I don't go a day without acknowledging that. I represent the countless individuals who didn't have the privilege and access to private school or a smooth career path due to Mommy and Daddy's well-placed connections. I represent those who only had their determination and the sangre of their ancestors. So thank you to Rafael Magaña, Frank Carbajal, Andre Arbelaez, Anna Dapelo-Garcia, Dennise Rosas, Sandra Noemi Torres, Leena Mendoza, M.S., Clemente Nicado, Refugio A. Atilano, Carlos Martin and all the amazing Latino Leaders for making this little Puerto Rican kid from the harsh, poverty stricken streets on the Eastside of Orlando feel important, feel like that I'm somebody and that I have something to offer. This past week has been life changing and I'm excited for the work we have ahead us. And yes, if you're wondering - I'M STILL HUNGRY! 😋 #ItTakesANationofMillionsToHoldUsBack #MyAncestorsWildestDreams #StartedFromTheBottom #StruggleToSuccess #LatinoEmpowerment #KeepGoing #StayHungry #GrindandGrit #LatinoLeaders #RealHastaLaMuerte #GrowthMindset #Perseverance #LatinxInspiration #LatinoJourney #NeverNotWorking

Looking for an inspirational keynote who inspires bold action? With over 45 speaking engagements across 3 continents and appearances on more than 30 podcasts and interviews, I bring a global authentic perspective to every stage. 🌍 Whether it’s about entrepreneurship, overcoming life’s challenges, or the future of emerging tech, my talks are all about cutting through the noise and delivering real, actionable insights. The topics I speak on: 🔑 Owning Your Authentic Voice in the Age of AI and Social Media: Why staying true to yourself matters more than ever. As artificial intelligence reshapes the creative landscape, protecting your intellectual property and authenticity has become crucial. This talk addresses the ethical dilemmas AI introduces to the creative industry, such as content ownership and originality, and explores why staying true to your authentic voice is more important than ever in a world where AI-generated content blurs the lines of creativity and individuality. 🔑 Redefining Failure and Success: Gen Z’s unique opportunity to reshape the future. Gen Z is redefining what it means to succeed, moving away from traditional ideas of achievement. In this session, I explore how embracing failure as a stepping stone can unlock new opportunities, and why this generation has the power to reshape the future with bold, innovative thinking. 🔑 The Trap of Perfectionism: Why striving for perfection could be your greatest obstacle to success. Perfectionism is often seen as a strength, but it can be one of the biggest barriers to progress. In this talk, I explain why the pursuit of perfection often leads to paralysis, and how embracing imperfection can lead to more creative, effective, and fulfilling results. If you're looking for a speaker who challenges, inspires, and empowers, let's connect! From keynote talks to panel discussions, I’m ready to help your event make an impact. 🚀 Ready to talk? 👉🏽 https://lnkd.in/eFYVhjPZ

I had the privilege of sitting down with Jason Acosta, MSW for a powerful conversation on Failures Only Podcast and I was deeply moved by his journey. I first met Jason a few years ago through his podcast Live From The Bronx, which had already left a lasting impact on me with its focus on elevating Bronx voices. From there, we worked together on the first Bronx Summit, and I saw firsthand Jason's unwavering drive and commitment to improving the borough we both love. 🌟 Jason’s story is one of resilience, defying odds, and using his experiences to empower communities of color. His leadership, vision, and ability to turn challenges into opportunities continue to inspire me, and I’m excited to share his insights with all of you in our latest episode. #FailuresOnly #Leadership #BronxStrong #Inspiration #CommunityEmpowerment

Discipline saved my life—three times. 💥 In my latest article for the Elder Millennial to Gen Z series, I break down how discipline became my lifeline. Whether it was surviving a life-changing car accident, juggling law school while working full-time as a cop, or starting a business abroad—discipline was the key that kept me going. I also share a lesson from my first law school teacher that I live by to this day: “Just sit down and don’t get up until the job is done.” That mindset changed everything for me, and I know it can for you too. 🔗 below #Discipline #Success #ElderMillennialToGenZ
